About this part
What it does.
The engine cools its charge air through a water-to-air charge cooler, and the standard radiator for that circuit runs out of room when the engine is mapped or worked hard.
A larger quad-core radiator keeps the charge air cooler for longer, which is what keeps the power from fading on a hot day or a second fast lap.
