What you are paying for
A KESS3 is three things, priced as one kit.
The tool
The KESS3 hardware with its cables. On its own it reads nothing: it is the same box for slave and master, for a car or a tractor.
Protocols
A licence per vehicle group (cars and LCVs, bikes, agri and trucks, marine) and per connection (OBD, bench and boot). Slave or master is decided here.
Subscription
The period of Alientech updates and new vehicles that comes with the protocols, renewable when it ends.
A slave from MMT is linked to our master and comes with training in Nottingham: every file it reads is tuned in-house.
